Medical recommendation

Hey, y'all--a friend of mine is looking for a recommendation for a psychiatrist or psychotherapeutic nurse (that is: someone who can prescribe medication), who's queer- and pagan-friendly. I wasn't able to help, but I figured someone around here probably could.

If they're not queer/pagan friendly, they're not a very good psychiatrist or nurse practitioner! Does it need to be in the immediate area or can they travel to say, Brockton?

Get this: A friend of a friend of mine was a psychiatrist who was also very religious, and she said if she had a patient who was gay she would most certainly talk to them about how it's a sin, etc. She even said this is what God told her to do.

That's just crap - how does that kind of person even get a license to practice?

No idea. We need some sort of super-Hippocratic Oath to keep out the people more interested in pushing their agendas than to sticking to the actual job of helping people for real. Heck, make those pharmacists who want to keep from stocking the pill take it, too.

Immediate area is certainly better, but if you know someone good in Brockton, it can't hurt to know as a backup plan.
