  1. What is a budget?
  2. Where does the money come from?
  3. What does the money pay for?
  4. Who decides how to spend the money?
  5. How can I get involved?
  6. Can we do more?

The Progressive Democrats of Somerville are hosting a forum on the Somerville city budget next Thursday evening. From what I hear, there will be exciting speakers, and jelly beans :)

Hey, y'all--a friend of mine is looking for a recommendation for a psychiatrist or psychotherapeutic nurse (that is: someone who can prescribe medication), who's queer- and pagan-friendly. I wasn't able to help, but I figured someone around here probably could.

Thanks!

Lots of board games and card games tonight at the return of the game night @ True Grounds. Start time is 7PM. There will be complimentary beverages for the first bunch of people who show up. Their menu includes coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, pastries, etc.

True Grounds is at 717 Broadway in Somerville's Ball Square near the Powderhouse Rotary. It's about a ten-minute walk from Davis Square down College Ave. Take a right at Broadway when you get to the rotary.

I recently moved into a 4-bedroom apartment, and one of the co-tenants needs to move out by July 11. His 16x13 room with bay windows is available anywhere between July 11 - August 1. The other tenants are grad students and working professionals.

The apartment is located on Miner Street, with your own off-street parking space, and it's a 5-minute walk to the 80, 88, and 90 buses; or a 20-minute walk to Davis Square. Shared utilities including wireless internet, and free laundry in the basement.

Rent is $500 a month, with first and last required up front. If interested, please email minerapt@hotmail.com with your name and info and I'll get back to you to schedule a time to come.

Thanks!

EDITED: Thanks for the recommendations, but I haven't yet found anyone recommended who's on my insurance plan. Does anyone have any experiences with Davis Square Family Practice, Somerville Family Practice, or Dr. Aurelio Manto?

Hi all,

I just moved here and got a new job and am shuffling through health insurance paperwork. Can anyone recommend a good primary care physician in the area (or a dentist, while we're at it)?

Thanks!

I'm looking for a VERY GOOD dry cleaner in the area. Specifically I have an oil stain (olive oil, not car oil) on some new pants that I really want to get out. Anyone have suggestions?
