Fireworks next Thursday, 6/29

The city will have its annual (pre-)Fourth of July celebration next Thursday, June 29, at Trum Field. Musical entertainment will start at 6:30 pm, with fireworks to follow at 9:15. Trum Field is at Cedar Street and Broadway.

I ate a hot dog from Spike's and it was pretty good.

They use real cheese! And the buns are huge, square, and oddly tasty.

Curly fries were only OK though.

highland commons

does anybody here happen to live in the highland commons building adjacent to the bike path? i was just wondering what people thought of it. i have a friend who is looking to move into davis from arlington and it looks like a nice, well-kept place.
