Repaving is a very noisy operation. I imagine the people living on and around Mass Ave wouldn't want it at night. Then again, you could be one of them, so I may be wrong. All I know is if they were repaving the street outside my apartment at night, I wouldn't be able to sleep.
I didn't notice it...of course, my Mass Ave. is Porter to Boston...But I'm glad they've not gotten to my main stretch Porter --> Harvard. Repaving is a pain to pedestrians, too. For the smell if nothing else.
I don't have a car, either. Haven't driven since 1997. Just wanted to say you're not alone...
Traffic be damned, I'm just glad they're finally repaving that stretch. I think I've left a few parts of my suspension strewn along that bombed-out horror of an excuse for a roadway. Hopefuly they'll do Walden St. next, that being the other place I tend to leave suspension components.
i fear there is NO good time to repave streets...ever...it's always a disruption. which is why we should return to the old days of horse-drawn buggies.
Yea, I noticed it was still wet at like 12:15 when I was walking over there ... and my flipflops have tar on the bottom to prove it ... Its nice to see them actually PAVE a street though ... so many of them need it ... and of course dont get it
