I noticed this guy actually found a taker for a Free Monitor. I was about to shell out the $20 to get it recycled, but if people still use them,
I have a 17" Sony Trinitron monitor for FREE that works perfectly with no damage -- just too big for me to take to NYC. Any takers? Same general location -- Cedar St, near Elm.

I also have a random box of old cables I'm disposing of --- USB/ethernet/printer power, a pile of old cards (mostly 10/100 network cards), and some random fun geeky stuff (X11 video transceiver, wireless keyboard w/ old style round connector, Joysticks with sound card connectors, MadCatz multiple RCA input selector for old game systems). Your welcome to come take a look through it and see if anything is useful to you.

Bigger ticket items we're gonna try to sell yard sale style next week (Dreamcast with games, nerf guns etc, CD holders), so be watching for the official announcement.

Do you have any longish ethernet (cat5 or better) cables? If you do, I will take them sight unseen.

I need 25' and longer. Patch cables are not long enough. Thanks for looking.

I also have a wireless but I need to move the combo router/access point to a central location and I don't want to spend the money on new cables if someone has some laying around collecting dust :)

Interested in the monitor (the Sun monitor I'm using now doesn't interact the right way with the vpn switching I'm doing with it).

What do you mean, "people still use monitors?" What else would they use? :P

Of course, I assume you mean CRTs. And why wouldn't they? Aren't LCDs still mad expensive?

I'd also question the keyboard statement... I didn't think they had wireless keyboards back when they were using XT/AT keyboard ports. Are you calling PS/2 old-style? Geez, I'm feeling old here. Hehe.

I might be interested in some of the Dreamcast games, if you're willing to split them from the system (or sell the system decently cheap. I already have one, but it's dying) What do you have?

Well, gee, if you got a reply that fast... I also have a 17" IBM CRT to give away. Works perfectly, I just managed to find a 21"er.

Leave a comment in my lj(or replying to this) and we'll work it out. Next stop Freecycle if not here...

While we're at it, I also have a 14" monitor to give away.
(I also have a postscript color networked laser printer
that I'd like to donate to a charity, but it's heavy and out
of black toner. Any charities here want it?)
