I noticed this guy actually found a taker for a Free Monitor. I was about to shell out the $20 to get it recycled, but if people still use them,
I have a 17" Sony Trinitron monitor for FREE that works perfectly with no damage -- just too big for me to take to NYC. Any takers? Same general location -- Cedar St, near Elm.
I also have a random box of old cables I'm disposing of --- USB/ethernet/printer power, a pile of old cards (mostly 10/100 network cards), and some random fun geeky stuff (X11 video transceiver, wireless keyboard w/ old style round connector, Joysticks with sound card connectors, MadCatz multiple RCA input selector for old game systems). Your welcome to come take a look through it and see if anything is useful to you.
Bigger ticket items we're gonna try to sell yard sale style next week (Dreamcast with games, nerf guns etc, CD holders), so be watching for the official announcement.

Date: 2006-07-24 10:52 pm (UTC)Of course, I assume you mean CRTs. And why wouldn't they? Aren't LCDs still mad expensive?
I'd also question the keyboard statement... I didn't think they had wireless keyboards back when they were using XT/AT keyboard ports. Are you calling PS/2 old-style? Geez, I'm feeling old here. Hehe.
I might be interested in some of the Dreamcast games, if you're willing to split them from the system (or sell the system decently cheap. I already have one, but it's dying) What do you have?

Date: 2006-07-25 02:44 pm (UTC)Sega Dreamcast w/
Manuals
Extra Controller
Rumble Pack
Demo Disk
Web Browser
Chu Chu Rocket
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2
Jet Grind Radio
Dead or Alive 2
Shenmue
That's the list. I want to keep the game with the system to save hassle, but I'd be willing to go pretty cheap. Maybe $30?
As far as monitors, I mainly use laptops so the thought of having this towering behemoth taking up deskspace is not a very attractive option. I'll probably get an LCD once I get settled into NYC. I'm a Mac guy these days, so I'm use to things being expensive.
