In case anyone was curious about the VFW / Dance Studio eyesore at Teele Square that was supposed to be demolished in April, I emailed the address that was on a registered letter from April and got some info on the progress:

"Thanks for the message. We are working hard toward being able to commence work at the site. We were expecting to begin demolition next week and that is why the sidewalk protection was set up; however, we have encountered another delay. We expect to begin demolition before the end of the month, hopefully before the end of next week. The staging will re-appear soon!"

So hopefully it'll be down before September :)

What will be built there once it is demolished? (I once knew, but have forgotten.)

i *thought* it was going to be condos. I might be rememberign wrong though.

If so, I hope the plan includes some commercial space on the first floor.

Yeah, all I remember is condos. No idea if there's going to be retail or not, but I hope so.. I'm getting bored with the choices there :)
