Disposing of a box spring

Will Somerville trash pickup take a queen-size box spring? If not, what are my options? I do have a spiffy new circular saw I got at Home Despot this week...maybe I should reduce it in size a bit?

although I agree that saws are totally fun (there is a pile of sawdust on my living room floor right now from the impusive "fixing" of our entertainment center), leaving it in good shape might help it get reused rather than trashed. someone might even pick it up before somerville does. although i guess with the rain this week it'll get ruined anyway.
