Parking Districts?

davis_squareA guest of mine got a ticket marked "out of area" for parking half a block from my house. So, I'm writing to contest the ticket, and one thing I note is that I can't find documentation anywhere about what area a guest permit marked "district C" actually covers. My google fu has failed me. Any suggestions?

The Guest Passes have to be on the road that you live on, and adjacent streets, but no where out of that ...
I am unaware of the district situation and have people park quite aways from where I live (the street I am adjacent to is constantly packed) ... so you might live dangerously close to one of those lines.
I'd contest it at least. No harm in it other than the loss of time.
