We converted from oil to gas heat, but have 7/8 of a 275 gallon tank of oil left which the oil company will not buy back. Does anyone want or know of anyone who would be interested in buying our oil? We would take $500 for it, which at about $2.08 a gallon is a huge bargain considering the price of heating oil will be going way up this winter.
Also, we need to get rid of the oil tank in our basement. Anyone know anything about that?

A quick google search brings up:

I wasn't actually there to see them do it (a neighbor let them in with a key), but the location of the tank was very very tight quarters and removal must have been a huge pain for them, however, they did a terrific job and when they were done you couldn't even tell they had been dragging a giant oil tank through the cellar and out the bulkhead. Plus they blocked the fill pipe so no miss-delivered oil could ever be pumped into the cellar. I was very happy with their service. It was a big relief to get rid of the tank and I got a nifty certificate stating that I had had everything done the environmentally correct way.
