We converted from oil to gas heat, but have 7/8 of a 275 gallon tank of oil left which the oil company will not buy back. Does anyone want or know of anyone who would be interested in buying our oil? We would take $500 for it, which at about $2.08 a gallon is a huge bargain considering the price of heating oil will be going way up this winter.
Also, we need to get rid of the oil tank in our basement. Anyone know anything about that?

Be sure to cap off and/or remove the fill pipe when you get the old tank taken out. I've heard horror stories about oil delivery drivers mis-delivering oil to the wrong house and people have ended up with a basement full of heating oil. The environmental remediation when that happens isn't cheap.
