back and shoulder pain/knots/stiffness

A few years ago I moved my shoulder the wrong way too fast and got laid out by it, barely able to move. Since then, about once or twice a year, a lot of tension or even sleeping on it the wrong away can cause this pain to flare up, as it did yesterday evening. This is the worst it's ever been, it's in my neck, my shoulder and down into the middle or so of my spine, where it's never been before. I don't know if it's a knot or something that's gotten misaligned or what.

Who's a good person in the Davis Square area for me to see about this, preferably today? I can barely move or walk without bolts of searing pain and ibuprofen only helps a little bit. Covered by BCBS HMO, so if they're in-network, that'd be awesome, too.

The other doctor at Soft Tissue (Dr. Grace Steinley) is also awesome. She's managed to make progress on my ankle, which a half-dozen other doctors, sports medicine folks, and chiros were unable to do.

Thanks for the suggestion. For a couple reasons I actually wound up going to Massage Therapy Works in Davis (in "the Jimmy Tingle building"). A therapist named Jennifer spent a half hour trying to reverse some of the knotting and bunching and actually did some good. I spent most of the rest of the day still in pain, but *bearable* pain.

Bad this morning though. I think the muscles must re-stiffen in the night or something. Sucks! If this persists through the weekend I think I'll have to try something more serious, in which case I believe the soft tissue dudes are next. Thanks again.
