The plywood on Urban Gourmet's windows has been spray-painted "we will open soon", but it looks like it might be a while. There's been a crew in there doing some work the last few days, but the place has been gutted to the studs.

Date: 2006-12-11 08:05 pm (UTC)There's a lot of plywood up in Ball Sq these days. Has anyone else noticed what they're doing to the old Ball Sq seafood place? It's gutted, and I heard their turning it into a new seafood restaurant. It looks like their putting lots of big windows in too.

Date: 2006-12-12 12:44 am (UTC)As for the former Ball Square Seafood, he's annexed the formerly-a-dance-studio in the back, and it'll be about ten tables, reports the wife (about three months ago, so they may well have changed plans).
I snuck around to the back of the building to see the new concrete, and if they could get a permit, there's even a pretty little area in the back for an outside table or two (although I'd have trouble figuring out where the dumpsters would go, in that case).
