Cindy Hickey at the city's Council for Aging is running a 'Toys for Local Children' drive, but I'm not sure where the drop-off locations are. Call her at (617) 625-6600 ext. 2300.
NOTE: most of these places only accept new toys. Not sure about this one, but I don't know of too many places that would take used toys to give to kids at xmas. That's actually kind of a depressing thought.
I called the Council on Aging. They are indeed running a toy drive, collecting new, unwrapped toys. There are drop-off boxes at the following locations: City Hall Council on Aging Office 167 Holland St, 2nd Floor Fire Station in Teele Sq There will soon be boxes at Traffic & Parking on Holland Ave, and City Hall Annex on Evergreen Ave.
