clothing donation/consignment

Where can one drop off spare clothing in the Davis area? Donations, consignment (other than Poor Little Rich Girl, and bonus points if the place doesn't require an appointment 4 months down the line), etc?

The Methodist church a block up college ave has a shelter that takes donations of pretty much anything you can think of.

Wow, I didn't know that. That's great to know, since that church has done a lot of favors (esp re free meeting space) for several groups I'm part of, and I'd be glad to be able to give back to them. Do you know if there are special donation hours, or where in the church you have to go to make a drop?

If you go up whatever side street the church is on, there's a door with two or three doorbells. One of them is labelled "shelter" or something like that. I've never had a problem on a weekend afternoon just going up to that door and ringing the bell. The shelter's in the basement, I think.
