Where can one drop off spare clothing in the Davis area? Donations, consignment (other than Poor Little Rich Girl, and bonus points if the place doesn't require an appointment 4 months down the line), etc?

This isn't exactly Davis area but The Garment District in Kendall Square takes clothing on consignment.
