Where can one drop off spare clothing in the Davis area? Donations, consignment (other than Poor Little Rich Girl, and bonus points if the place doesn't require an appointment 4 months down the line), etc?

There's a drop box near the Benjapon/Subway rest. on Elm St.

Does that box belong to 'Planet Aid'? If so, please don't donate to it. The organization it supports is highly dubious. See Tvind Alert for more information on it.

Wow, I had no idea. I used to shop at the old Planet Aid store all the time. Now I guess I should be glad it's gone. That sucks majorly (just went to the site and read the Toronto Star article there).

Why is it that so many charitable operations are dodgy? Is it easier to prey on people when they're doing good? Not that you have to take a stab at answering those or anything :).
