what are they building on Elm between Dover and Day? Anyone know when it will be finished, whatever it is? I can't even remember what used to be there.

Meh. I really could care less about have yet more places to buy things, given the proximity to Boston, and am much happier to have places to go with friends, share some food, and talk to each other.

It would be nice to have both, though. There's no place to buy new shoes or men's clothing in Davis. In many ways today's Davis Square is a better place than 30 years ago, but this is a big exception.
