BOSTON, MA — Boston Opera Collaborative (BOC) announces an evening of Italian arias and art songs. BOC members Brooke Larimer, Erica Peterson, and Natalie Polito will perform some of opera’s most beloved arias from works including Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, and La Bohème.

La Spina, owned by Rita Burton, features a creative Neapolitan menu. Reservations will start at 7:30pm and walk-ins are welcome as room allows.

Young mezzo-soprano Brooke Larimer, a BOC co-founder, has performed with Granite State Opera, New Jersey Opera Theater Summer Institute, Melopoeia Musica and Boston Opera Collaborative since graduating from The Boston Conservatory. Roles include Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Mercédès (Carmen), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), and Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier). Her 2007 season includes performances of Brandon Grimes's Mass for a Dawning Age (World Premiere), covering Witch and Mother in Boston Opera Collaborative's Hansel and Gretel, and concerts with Opera del West and Opera by the Bay. Soprano Erica Peterson graduated with her MM in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory (TBC) in May, 2006. Roles sung include Cobweb (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) with TBC, Second Woman (Dido and Aeneas), and L’horloge and Le Chat (L’enfant et les sortileges) with the Intermezzo Young Artist Program. In addition to being the 2007-08 Production Chair for BOC, Ms. Peterson sang Sandman in their production of Hansel and Gretel and in the ensemble of BOC/Riverside Theatre Works production of La Bohème. Future engagements include singing in the ensemble of Mozart’s Idomeneo with Opera Hub and covering Sister Constance of St. Denis for BOC’s summer production of Dialogues of the Carmelites.

Soprano Natalie Polito holds degrees in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory and Northwestern University. Upcoming performances include the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) at the Intermezzo Young Artist Program, Elettra (Idomeneo) with Opera Hub and the Sebastian Chamber Players, and Violetta (La Traviata) with Opera by the Bay. Recent performances include When We No Longer Touch with the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus, the title role in Boston Opera Collaborative's Iphigénie en Aulide, Adele (Die Fledermaus), Mustardseed (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Sister Claire (Dialogues of the Carmelites), and the New England premiere of Little Women.
