Hi Davis Square!

I've decided I want to get more involved in with the arts, the Davis Square/Somerville community, and social activism. Do you know if there are any good resources available that list the organizations that have open meetings/membership in Davis Square or in Somerville? I was interested in the Somerville Arts Council, so I joined their email list, but I'd like something a little more active with meetings and events I could attend on a regular basis. For example, is there a Somerville Young Democrats league? Or some group that does environmental activism? Outreach for youth? Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!

Speaking of the progressive democrats of somerville, we're having our annual meeting tomorrow night, with socializing starting around 6:30 and the meeting-meeting starting at 7. We'll have the NEW CHAIR of the state party, Deval Patrick's former campaign manager, John Walsh coming to talk with us, and it should be a great time! I'll be the Treaurer, sitting at the front door collecting dues, so if you come, say hi.

The meeting is at the VNA Assisted Living Facility at 259 Lowell Street from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm in the Third Floor Community Room. Accessible by Public Transportation take #88 or #90 buses from Davis Sq. on Highland Ave to Lowell St.

PS You don't have to pay abilouise to come to the meeting. We have an annual dues for members, but it is not required and the meeting is open to everyone for free. So come!
