Date: 2007-07-17 05:26 pm (UTC)But you might also be able, if you want to, do it your self. I did it. Go on ebay, find the keyboard.. (mine was an Inspiron 600m and cost about 20 dollars) and then take apart the top of the computer, pull out the broken keyboard, vacuum out the gunk for good measure, plug in the new keyboard and pop the top back on and you are ready to go.. the hardest part is pulling out the plastic part just above the keyboard because it feels like it's going to break, but its fairly resilient.
If you are feeling queasy about taking apart your computer, take it down to Holland Street and he'll have it apart in a matter of minutes.. I brought mine there for something else and he had it popped open so much faster than I had ever dreamed I could do it..
