How would a concept like mine do in Davis Square?

I recently acquired the master franchise rights to a relatively new but fast growing salon concept called Knockouts®. 

It is a sports-themed franchised salon chain providing competitively-priced haircuts and other grooming services including coloring, massage therapy, facials, manicures, pedicures, and hair waxing. It caters specially to men by offering a pampering experience that is not available at other discount walk-in salons and without charging high-end salon prices.  

Each salon features specially-chosen staff of female stylists wearing Knockout Girls^® uniforms, large leather chairs fitted specially for men, individual flat screen TV's with a remote control at each station and complimentary beverages. I'm looking into the possibility of putting my first location in Davis Square.  Do you think it would do well in Davis Square? Are there good locations available? Any input/comments would be welcomed and greatly appreciated.  Thanks...

Google says 222 Friend Street, 02114, but it links to hooters.com, which is where I got the "locations" link from in the first place, which does not have this information (either in the form of a pin icon on their map of locations, or in the form of an address and phone number in their database, even when fed very specific location info). So either the website is outdated, or the Friend Street location closed (which seems unlikely given ericablad's post below).

Given that, maybe the OP's business could work in that neighborhood?

Sounds like the place may have recently closed, then. I'll take a walk by there tonight and see.

222 Friend St, the ex-Hooters

I walked by this address a few minutes ago. The sign still says "Hooters of Boston" but it is very, very closed. I don't know how long ago it closed.

If in six months this turns out to be the location for the OP's branch of Knockouts, I will be vastly amused. And demand that davis_square be acknowledged somewhere on the premises. ;)
