So, in case you don't check out the Somerville Theater's marquee that often, they're holding a zombie marathon between 7PM and 7AM October 6th. I already have my ticket; while I forgot to ask for a complete lineup (one suspects they're still locking in some prints), they do have a partial list posted, which you can see here:

Honestly, even the partial list is pretty impressive; you've got classic Hollywood ("I Walked With a Zombie"), '70s Italian b-movie (at least I assume that's Fulci's "Zombie" on the flyer there), and several modern takes on the zombie genre (I'm really looking forward to "Fido", which screened here for a microsecond, and seeing "Shaun of the Dead" with a full house.)

I'd recommend getting your ticket from the box office itself; online they'll charge a $3 "convenience fee" which makes getting your ticket early almost pointless.

See you folks there!

I saw Fido at the Somerville Theater at IFF. It was a lot of fun - high on the cheesy, low on the gore, just the way I like it. Shaun of the Dead was a lot of fun, but once entrails were getting ripped out, I was sort of done. Not a gore fan - but I think that it worked well for the film (as things get more dire, they get more gory. Good film making... I'm just queasy.)
