Connections Center Contact?

Hello all. I'm putting together a meetup group for Boston-area people who run web-based businesses. The number of interested attendees has already grown to be more than I thought so I was wondering if meeting up at the soon-to-be "Connections Center" (formerly Sacco's) in Davis Square would be an option.

I'm trying to find a way to contact the woman who's behind "Connections Center". I tried the email address listed in her LJ profile but it got bounced back. This person's LJ name is synergyseeker and this was the last link she posted here.

I'm in the process of launching an internet marketing consultancy designed to help small businesses get more out of their online presence. Would it be gauche of me to show up?

I think you might be really useful to have there.

For the group description I tried to convey that this group would be for people who run website with online communities or online applications and who get their revenue from ads and/or subscriptions. (My business is running the online community Craftster.org.)

But a few people have joined that do other things for example [i]provide services[/i] like photography, web-design, etc. So I think you might get something out of talking with those kinds of people.

We might eventually have to split into smaller groups for more specialized discussions.

Hi There....

My contact info is growconnections at g mail. Ill drop you a note with my phone number to your email address. We arent going to be open for a while unfortunately - I've been having the same problem with wanting to schedule some round table discussions. Having a hard time finding a space.

Sounds like a great group. I would love to attend - a social networking site that links with the IRL facility is going to be part of our concept.

The Good Food Cafe at 2378 Mass. Ave. in Cambridge has a ginormous space, and it's new. I'd talk to them about doing meetings there.

I work for a web-based nonprofit - would it be OK for me to join the group too? I've found that often the community-building and publicity challenges of nonprofits and for-profits online have a lot in common. (And, as someone who's been building/part of/studying/working in online communities for ages, I might have some connections or experience to offer to the businessfolks.)
