Does anyone know about this place? I want to get a deep tissue massage and am venturing out of the davis square neighborhood as a trip to massage therapy works ended in me being poked repeatedly in the back at random  (not really worth the money).  Any other closer suggestions would be appreciated as well.....

Actually, Ron, the OP seems to want deep tissue massage, and is asking about the establishment in H^2. (Which I believe my old classmate Amanda works at, btw, but I haven't had a massage from her in a few years now, so I can't remember what styles she does.)

Fair enough. I don't know the difference between different kinds of acupuncture. I just wanted to make the OP aware of previous discussions in case they turn out to be useful. I'll add a "massage" tag as well, which will link to a whole other bunch of earlier posts.

I really like David Cheng in Porter Square Galleria (http://www.davidcheng.com/). Not cheap, and definitely deep tissue (not for the faint of heart!), but excellent. http://www.davidcheng.com/

Whenever I drive down Mass Ave I see the storefront for Sollievo (http://www.sollievo.org/); I've been meaning to check it out to see what they're like.

Comma in Harvard Square does Reiki and some other treatments. The owner is wonderful!

My friend Alli Ross is one of the MTs at Harvard Square Acupuncture, and she's who I always get massage from. (I am a Massage Therapist and have lots of Massage Therapist friends, so this is actually a meaningful recommendation)

I've been going to Massage Therapy Works (http://massagetherapyworks.com) for over a year now and have had a really good experience with them.
