I need to get to the airport during daylight hours on Friday. Previous trips I have taken the T with no problem.
However, the recent snow plus the promise of more snow on wednesday/thursday/friday (depending on news source) makes the thought of dragging my over-sized suitcases down ice covered and possibly not cleared sidewalks the several blocks to the T station makes me nervous. (I had a hard enough time getting to work today, and that was without extra large suitcases).

I'm thinking some sort of car-type transportation where someone drives me and my luggage to Logan would be a more desirable option. I'm thinking a taxi, but i don't know who to call or how far in advance to try and set this up.
Anyone know of any that are reliable (don't want to miss my flight), safe (young single girl + enough luggage to imply being gone for several weeks, but that's just because I over pack), and cheap-ish (i'm a student but i'm aware it will cost more than the T).

Please help, I don't want to be taken for a ride!

Green cab. Call the afternoon/night before--especially if it's for an early morning pickup. I'm assuming same day would be fine for a later pickup, but keeping in mind that cabs tend to be in higher demand when there's a lot of snow on the ground, I'd probably be sure to call several hours ahead of time.
