i've used donahue and associates over in cambridge with good results, although i didn't have specific rental issues. they do the corporate taxes for some folks i know as well. http://www.donahuecpa.com/

Are you looking for one-time services (like getting your taxes done this year) or an ongoing relationship where they do all the month-to-month bookkeeping?

For the former, I used http://www.howell-larsen.com/ to get my taxes done the first year I owned rental property. While it was expensive, it also gave me the opportunity to ask enough questions that I was able to work through subsequent years myself. They're in Lexington though, so they may be too far for you.

I don't have much month-to-month bookkeeping I need an accountant for, but I'd like to establish a relationship with them for anything I'd need in the future. That would be yearly taxes at a minimum.

Are you looking for an accountant (someone to work on your finances with you all year), a tax advisor (someone to look at your finances with you and recommend things wrt taxes) or a tax preparer (someone to fill out taxes for you)? Not that I can recommend any professionals as I'm a stick in the mud who does all of that stuff myself, but the professionals I've talked with have impressed on me that it's important to be looking for the correct services.
