If you live in Ward Seven, or if you have a Zone 1 parking permit (which, I guess may apply to people in other wards) don't forget to put your new resident parking sticker on your car.
On my drive this morning, I saw DOZENS of bright orange pieces of paper staring back at me on cars with the old sticker. The city is not giving any leniency in this matter, near as I can tell.

Yet.

From:Sticker numbers
Date: 2008-02-01 04:08 pm (UTC)And by the way, I CANNOT get my old sticker off. Any suggestions? Now that they're on the front windshield, they should really make them less adhesive. My work permit is really easy to take off and replace, so it is possible to provide easily removable stickers. Maybe that should go on the ballot this year.

Date: 2008-02-01 04:03 pm (UTC)Now we're back over by the Brown School, 6-2 I think, and the stickers are Zone 2.
The number is definitely the month of renewal; but a newcomer or new vehicle will get a sticker depending on the neighborhood. We bought a new car in June or July 1998; they gave us a replacement Zone 8 sticker, and made us come back and renew it in a couple of months.

Date: 2008-02-01 04:04 pm (UTC)I know because I bought a new car in November. The sticker was only good until February. It was not good for an entire year.

I *heart* my old permits!
Date: 2008-02-03 02:43 am (UTC)So... since I moved, you now have to put them in the front windshield? The side window is no longer an option? I guess that would explain why you'd want to remove it -- don't want to be cluttering up the front windshield.

Date: 2008-02-02 01:21 am (UTC)Here's what i've been able to find under the threaded comments. And it looks like you keep the same number sticker if you move across town:
Ward 7: 1, A
Ward 6: 8, Z
Ward 2/Inman: 6
