the Someday Cafe is having a fundraiser next friday night


WHERE: the V.F.W. hall (located behind the Winter Hill Federal Savings Bank on Summer st.)
WHEN: FRIDAY, September 17th.
TIME: Doors are at 7 pm.
COST: $8 donation at the door (or in advance at the Someday cafe)

There's going to be lots of Food, Music and Fun.

AND a silent auction with lots of things to win including:
gift certificates from:

Johnny D's
Redemption Tattoos
and
The Middle East
to name a few...

y'all should go and get to know your neighbors a little better.

no, actually the money, weirdly enough, is going to getting our floor redone. it may seem like a stupid reason, but we, as a business, have very little money to be tossing around, and our floor is shot to shit and is way too expensive to pay for. but recouping the losses would be nice as well. that was money we couldn't afford to lose.
and i'm not sure insurance pays for such a 'minimal' loss... whatever minimal means to them.

Well, apparently I was wrong anyway, and it's not directly related to the theft.

Still, it's a small independently-owned business that adds a lot to the community, and I for one don't mind. Nobody who feels weird about it has to contribute, of course.
