Does anyone know the cause of this week's power outages? At first, i just assumed that it was the typical too-many-ACs brownout but it seems like a lot of occurrences in a short time.
Additionally, does anyone know if natrional grid/nstar have sites where they post up such information?

Date: 2009-07-30 11:35 pm (UTC)initially around 9something, I think. Then it came back and went back out again around 10:30, stayed on a few hours, went back out around 1am and then again in the morning around 9am.
also, if nothing else, this taught me a valuable lesson: battery backups on clocks are A Good Thing. get yourself some 9V batteries.

Date: 2009-07-30 08:51 pm (UTC)I don't believe that either of these outages extended to Davis Square, but (a) the wind may have caused similar problems throughout Somerville. and (b) I found it interesting that a single event led to two widely separated outages.
