Yes, I have been. Got there late so only ordered takeout. Interior much like the previous Thai place. A certain improvisational quality--they seem to be just getting started and figuring out the organization. The servers weren't quite sure that they're never open Mondays, that kind of thing.
It seems kind of pricey (esp. for mostly lentils!), but healthy and organic. Fun experiments like a vegan version of breaded calimari (with oyster mushrooms instead).
Went with a group of 5 people - and will probably not do that again. The place is kind of cramped and the servers were definitely overwhelmed.
Of the dishes I tried, I'd have to say I liked the maki (we had spicy tempeh, mushroom & spinach and sweet potato & roasted red pepper) and the nachos and would go back for them. The calamari was good, but I ended up wanting marinara with it. I will also go around later to try the entrees because we just had soups and appetizers last night.
I figure there'll be some growing pains for a while yet. But there's a continuum from "wow they really oughtn't to have opened yet" to "just a few minor glitches," you know? ;)
Verdict: get there early, but worth it. If they had more of an option for takeout/delivery, they could circulate people around a lot better instead of having only sit-down service. As it is, it's a really small area and there's not much waiting space so it's not the greatest to eat in, but not unpleasant. They're still working out some kinks- probably need more waitstaff, but with such a small area, I can see why they wouldn't want more.
However, coming from an omnivore who loves her animal-based protein, the food is amazing. Everything I had was really tasty- especially their Seitan gyro. It tastes nearly exactly the same as gyro meat. It's a bit pricey, but the food is worth it at least once every now and then. Their desserts are less amazing (my german apple cake was pretty burned on the bottom, but the caramel sauce was tasty) but the entrees are yummy.
