Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone cordially invites the citizens of Somerville to come and enjoy two events for “Summertime in
Somerville” at Trum Field.

Revisit your childhood as we kick off the Fourth of July celebrations with a fireworks display on July 1, 2004. The City will provide patriotic music at 7:00 pm and the fireworks will begin at 9:15 pm. The raindate will be July 10, 2004.

In order to ensure public safety, several road closures and parking bans outlined below will be in effect.

Great 4-bedroom apt. in Davis, 9/1, No Fee

I’m helping my landlord advertise my current apartment, which is available 9/1. I’ve lived here for three years, and the only reason I’m leaving is because all my housemates are off to other areas to pursue jobs, graduate school, live-in relationships, etc. It’s been a wonderful place to live, with a good landlord, and I’d like to see another group of people enjoy this apartment as much as I have.

The place is a 4-bedroom, 1 bathroom, for $2750/month (We’ve used it as a 5-bed for the past two years and the landlord may be amenable to that again, though probably with somewhat increased rent). The location is excellent – it takes me 4 minutes at a comfortable pace to walk down Holland Ave. to the heart of Davis Square and the T. It’s just close enough to the square for convenience, but the street itself has a more residential than commercial feel.

big bucks for de-flea-ing my daddy's kitty

urgent request:

my parents need someone to give our family cat a flea bath. they adopted him from someone who never handed over vet records (and they've since moved away) so no groomer will take him but i assure you he is pretty docile and never bites.

they need to take him to the vet (for more extreme anti-flea meds) but they can't 'cause he's got fleas right now. they just need someone willing to travel to our house (south shore ish area, about 45 minutes south of boston) who can be gentle and do a thorough job.

he'll pay $100 for a house call.

if you know of *anyone* qualified to do this please e-mail me immediately. ideally this person would be able to come down on thursday, friday or saturday. feel free to pass this on to anyone you know who'd be qualified.
