CT Crews come correct tonight at Dubplate Culture as we bring you DJs OneSelf & Meszenjah! Don't sleep, people! Lightah! And of course, RXM will be dropping the 45's like they're hot!

As always, there'll be open decks from 8:00-9:00pm, so bring your reggae, dancehall, dub, ragga, jungle or Drum 'n' Bass records and throw down for us!

Rules Are Coming

The number of advertisements in serious need of being <lj-cut> is getting out of hand in this community. I'm considering making a rule that all ads for anything must be <lj-cut>, just to make administration easier. This community never really has had the rules spelled out, I have just relied on people understanding etiquette. However, as with offline etiquette, online etiquette seems to be a thing of the past. So it is about time that the rules be spelt out. Sometime later today, probably this evening, I will post a list of rules for the community and add them to the profile.

Invasive Species Identification and Removal along the Somerville Community Path
Wednesday, Aug. 3
6:00-8:00 pm
Meeting at 6pm behind the Brooks Pharmacy in Davis Square by the Path Community Gardens

Volunteers will learn how to identify invasive species and then will help with removal of invasive species and weeds along the Somerville Community Path. Groundwork Somerville is a community-based organization designed to serve as a catalyst for reuse of former Brownfield sites and for community revitalization in Somerville.

Audition for Shakespeare's "Merry Wives"

Theatre@First announces open auditions for the Fall 2005 production of
William Shakespeare's "The Merry Wives of Windsor," directed by Elizabeth Hunter.

A 2-minute Shakespearean monologue is requested, but not required.
Cold readings will also be used.

Auditions will be held on
- Monday, August 8th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm and
- Tuesday, August 9th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm.

Powderhouse Kitty

So, i was walking down Powderhouse the other day, and heard this meowing.

Figured it was a cat behind the shrubbery, i looked around and around,
towards the meowing. And there it was, a kitty in the attic meowing
down at me. The same way a dog would bark at you when you walked past.
And, i thought that was pretty cool.

Thank you, Powderhouse Kitty, you cracked me up :)
