Hey Peoples, I'm just another new person in town. I'm moving in on June 1st, so I've been trying to research the area and I stumbled into this LJ community. You guys all seem like really nice and helpful people - I look forward to getting to know you all and contributing to Davis Square life. Wish me a happy moving day. ;)

Optometrist

So last year I asked the same question here and was referred to Dr. Scott Sylvia on Mass Ave. He was good - professional, courteous, prompt, pricing was I guess fair (it had been a couple of years before that since my previous visit to an optometrist). But something just wasn't quite right, and I wasn't sure what it was...until I visited Dr. Casey Cook for my teeth. Dr. Cook rocks. So here is my question - is there someone as awesome as Dr. Cook who can check out my eyes, near the Davis Square area? I'm due for an annual exam and my contacts are running low.

Art Exhibits at Planned Parenthood Express

The new Planned Parenthood Express is now exhibiting the work of local artists on a rotating basis. My friend has the first exhibit there and I'm posting this here for her in case anyone is interested.

"Please drop by the Planned Parenthood Express Center at the Davis Square Plaza (on Elm Street next to Starbucks) to view my seed pod series, a collection of photography + encaustic. This is the first exhibit of their new local artist series, and it will be hanging through the end of May. Their office is open M-F from 11-7. Thanks!

Hey peoples, does anyone know of a decent gym in the Davis Square area (maybe even within walking distance)? I haven't found anything yet in my search online.
