Does anyone have personal experience with the Dahn Yoga center in Davis? I've read some conflicting things online about what they're up to (Dahn as a whole). Basically, if you belong/have belonged, what did you take away from it?
Thanks.

Group for the Self-Employed/Freelancer

Hi everyone! I'm new to Davis Square and to LJ.
After seven long years in grad school, I'm embarking on a career as a
self-employed IT consultant while pursuing my hobbies in art and
psychology. I'd love to meet more people in the area who are
self-employed (or are pursuing their own independent projects in one
way or another). Does anyone have any suggestions on where or how I
can meet them? I know, this description probably fits 1/2 people who
live in Davis, but I can't exactly stop strangers on the street.. :) If
you are one of these people, feel free to drop me a line!
Also, I'm forming a social group for self-employed/freelance
women in the area. Here is more info:

west coast swing dance classes
Jun. 12th, 2006 03:15 pm![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)
After a possibility of the class cancelling due to space issues, the Cambridge Center for Adult Education has confirmed we have space for the Wednesday night 8 week beginner series.
The classes start this Wednesday, June 14, at 7:15 and run for an hour, with a half hour of practice time after.
The website for registration is www.ccae.org , or you can call them at 617-547-6789.
Again, this is a Beginner series, so it would be appropriate for people new to west coast swing, people looking for a refresher, or if they are looking to switch lead/follow.
Thanks everybody!!!

zipper sign
Jun. 12th, 2006 03:33 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
The Middlesex Federal Savings Bank has installed an electric 'zipper' sign wrapping around the corner of Highland and College Avenue. I don't know what they plan to do with it.
Right now it's mostly dark, but a few days ago I saw a test pattern displayed on it.
