I am interested in composting, but the thought of a big smelly bin in my postage stamp of a back yard is unappealing to me (any undoubtly to my neighbors too).I also don't want to attrack unwanted guests (skunks, rats and the like). Has anyone found a solution that is both environmentally and community friendly? Do you store it outside? Do you use worms, and if so what happens in the winter months - do you have to bring it inside? Many thanks!

My car is parked on a street that is supposed to get swept the first wednesday of every month. Should I move it for tomorrow or do you think the metermaids take the 4th off?

Due to a "power problem at Harvard"  the MBTA is busing from Park to Alewife.

Not looking forward to the commute tonight.

Is the Farmer's Market open tomorrow? I missed it last week, and don't know if they follow a holiday schedule.

About half an hour ago, I was sitting on an 87 bus in front of Davis, waiting for the bus to leave. A cop car pulled up, sirens blaring, and a cop got out and ran into the station with his hand on his gun.

Then the bus pulled away, so I couldn't see what was going on.

Does anyone know what's happening? (I don't think this is related to the fire that happened earlier at Harvard, because I took the T from Central to Davis without any problem.)

I have an address which is the same as an office building in Cambridge (clearly the city and zip are different) The office building is almost entirely occupied by lawyers and social services.

I consistently have mail delivered to my address that is clearly meant for the Cambridge address. There is no mistake on the envelope or package (today's was a very large package). I'm sure much of this mail is confidential and at the very least important. Does anyone know who can I talk to to have this mail go to the correct address. Every time something is incorrectly delivered, I go to the Davis Sq. post office and drop off the item and let them know. They seem very unconcerned. Last week I was away and three pieces came to me - all addressed to law offices.

suggestions?
