A couple of weeks past at the Whole Foods at Alewife, I saw a display of those Sigg metal bottles, and it put me in mind to buy one for a friend's birthday. Of course I went there today and there was not a one to be found.

Something in me feels like a bad shopper for not being able to think of a place to buy these locally, and it feels hypocritical to buy a crazy trendy environmental bottle online where I'll have to pay for shipping (moreover, since I need it preferably this week for the gift.)

Can anyone point me to a different local vendor? I can go into Boston, and I do have a car, but of course I'd prefer the general Camberville area for convenience factor.

Barbells?

Does anyone know where in the general area I can buy a barbell? A location with parking is preferable. I tried both City Sports in Porter and Modell's in Medford, but neither of them carry barbells, just curl bars.

hi everyone --

my roommate and i have about eight 8-10 inch adult koi in a tub in our basement that really need a good home. we're taking care of them but have no idea what we're going to do with them in the long-term. long story short, my roommate's dad had them in an outdoor pond for a few years, recently moved out -- and now we are in charge of them. we no longer have the outdoor koi pond, so these guys need someone who can take care of them properly.

if you have a koi pond and can give these guys a good home, please click. )

please drop me a commment if you're interested or know of anyone who might be. we really can't take care of them in the long-term. thanks.

[edit] we have found the koi a new home -- a 5000 gallon pond! (way better than a tiny tub.) thanks for everyone's help!

Has anyone seen, a set of keys-
Lots o keys on several rings (from apartment key to car key) with a shaws card, hollywood express card, mag lite,a couple of hand cuff key, a krypto bike key, and a church key (bottle opener)..
If I did lose it at Davis, it would be at JP Licks or The Burren.

Thanks.

At open studios yesterday, one of the folks I remember was a photographer in the 6 Vernon St. building who had an automatic photo booth as part of the studio. You walked in, pressed a button, and it took your picture. There was a sign outside the booth saying the pics would be up on Flickr Sunday night, but I can't at all remember which artist this was to go and look for them. I've checked the Open Studios website and the Vernon St. website, but there's nothing to make me connect the photo booth with the samples from photographers on either. I'm pretty sure the artist was a guy, and that his studio was on the 2nd or 3rd floor of 6 Vernon St. Anyone remember more?

PS, this was the first year I had time to see more than a few studios, and I'm so glad I did! I even bought my first ever original (not too expensive, by a local artist, AWESOME) painting!
