The City of Somerville has lifted its snow emergency regulations effective 8 a.m., Monday, December 22nd. Residents parked in municipal or school lots during the snow emergency have a two-hour window in which to move their vehicles once the emergency ends. Cars still parked in municipal or school lots at 10 a.m. may be subject to ticketing and towing. Residents, landlords and business owners are required by city regulations to shovel their sidewalks but may not shovel snow into the street.

Somerville Public Schools are closed Monday.

For additional information, please call the city’s 311 constituent service line or visit the city's website at www.somervillema.gov. Thank you.

We lost a cell phone yesterday.  Somewhere in or near Davis Square.  Nothing fancy, just a very basic Nokia/TMobile phone.  If anyone should find it, please contact me at fosterhse@yahoo.com.  Thanks!

Didn't see it posted anywhere, but today (Monday) as of 8am, the snow emergency was lifted.

Also, on my way home from work tonight, over on Linden and Summer Streets, I saw a Somerville PD ticketing cars that were not brushed off/shoveled out. I thought there was a 3 day grace period from the end of the snow emergency being lifted?

I'm assuming because Somerville's Snow Emergency is over, Medford's is as well? I really wish they had a clearer system like Somerville's.. I ask because I'm parked on Boston Ave, a snow emergency artery, and there were no other cars, but that might be because of the holidays and students having all gone home..

Is there somewhere in Davis Square where one could get a gift basket? I'm thinking like an assortment of various edible type items in a pretty basket, with maybe some flowers and the like, such as one might send to an office or similar. Does Dave's Fresh Pasta do something like that? Or anywhere else in the immediate vicinity? TIA.
