1 room in 3 bedroom apartment from May 15th or June 1-August 31st (flexible move-in date). The apartment is literally a 3 minute walk from the Davis Square T Station on the Red Line, as well as all Davis has to offer- movie theater, Boston Sport Club, CVS, JP Licks, bowling, cafes and restaurants. Also a short walk to Porter Square (Shaws, etc).

The remaining two roommates are twenty-something females, professional and easy going. The common areas are furnished, the bedroom is not. Air mattress can be provided, if needed.

Rent $566/month plus about $75 utilities. We have cable and wireless internet. Street parking is available for $10/year. Apartment is on second floor. We have a cute backyard and a great porch.

The room is approximately 12x12 and has a large walk-in closet. We have tons of storage in the basement.

We have the occasional get together, but otherwise it's a pretty quiet apartment. Large common area and kitchen with open pantry.

No pets, please.

I will require the subletter to sign a sublease for the 3 month duration and provide a check for first month's rent at signing (won't be cashed until you move in).

I'm posting this for a friend, please reply to KateWalsh0504 at gmail dot com if you're interested.

4 bedroom/1 bath with 3 great guys (ages range between 23-32) who are working professionals. Very nice and fun to socialize with, but also have their own personal lives.

Apt has big kitchen, brand new hardwood floors, deck and free washer/dryer and storage in basement. Big bedroom with enough room for a queen plus ample furniture and a good sized closet.

Utilities (cable, wireless internet, phone, gas, electricity) split 4 ways are between $60-$110 a month. Common areas are furnished, room is not.

Street parking available with Somerville decal ($10/year) and I was ALWAYS able to find parking. 5 minute walk to the T.

First, last and security due at signing.

This would be from June 1 (possibly as early as May 15th) - August 31 with the option to renew for a year starting in September.

Boston Burger Company is now open in the space formerly occupied by Antonia's, next to JP Licks. Contrary to earlier rumors, they did not expand into the former Breathe Spa space next door; that is still vacant.

Their web site appears to be BostonBurgerCo.com. They have menus posted outside, but the menus do not list the URL. That may be just as well, since the menu on the web site is far too small to read easily (at least, for someone my age). I would e-mail them, except that the Contact Us page contains only directions, and no actual contact info.

EDIT 5:15 pm: Here's a link to a fully readable image of the menu. There's also now an e-mail address on the Contact Us page.

EDIT 4/7, 8 pm: Here's a link to a fully readable image of the menu. Dear Boston Burger Company: please don't move it again.

For a while there was a box in the West Branch library to collect Shaw's receipts. Just when I'd gotten around to doing that and was about to drop them off, they've changed the system.

You now sign up your Shaw's reward card with a special website, and all your purchases on Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays at Massachusetts Shaw's or Star Markets give a kickback to the Friends of the Library. details behind the cut )

And now it's time for: Yet Another Theatrical Emergency!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the person who was going to take care of hair and makeup for The Winter's Tale can no longer do it. We need a new person, and fast!

The link above contains the show dates. Tech is the previous weekend; dress rehearsals that Monday and Tuesday.

Our needs:

-Character aging, some before the opening, some during the intermission/second act.
-General stage makeup and hairdos for those who can't do their own

The space is small and intimate, so the work will have to be more subtle than it might ordinarily.

Please let me know ASAP if you think you could do this or have a referral by commenting here!

Is there a cat groomer nearby who makes house calls? I'm wondering whether I'd save enough on cab fare to make it worthwhile. Any recommendations? What did they charge? Did they not scare the ever-loving daylights out of your cat?
