I did the right and proper thing and checked the tags, but "health care" only got me PCP recommendations and some other non-relevant-to-me posts. (Seriously? No one in the last couple years has asked about GYNs? Was there a better tag I missed?)

I have a PCP at Harvard Vanguard, but he isn't trained to deal with women's health issues, so I'm looking for recommendations for a gynecologist, preferably at Harvard Vanguard (because that's easy), but I'll consider any suggestions for any GYN in Somerville or Cambridge.

What I want most in a GYN is someone who will work with me on my health, give me the right information I need to make decisions, and then work with me on treatment, not just give orders or treat me like I'm stupid/untrustworthy/ignorant. I do not care what sex/gender the doctor is.

Feel free to PM me if you don't want to leave a comment here in public.

Hey,

I'm looking for a very small piece of lumber.  In particular I'm looking for an approximately 20" long piece of 1x6, preferably cedar but pretty much anything would do.  Does anyone happen to have some 1x6 lying around or know a place around here that I could pick up a piece of scrap?  If I went to Home Depot I'd have to pay for a full board, which is kinda silly when I only need 20".  I'm hoping someone has a piece lying around.  note:  Color doesn't matter, so even if it's already painted that's okay.

Thanks!

EDITED:  Wood obtained.  Thank you for all your suggestions.

Hi -
I'm going through my annual book clean-up, and I have a bunch for sale (I live in Porter Sq).  Feel free to make offers.  Generally I want $10 for a hardcover and $5 for a paperback, magazine sets and DVD have listed prices.

I've got all kinds of things, from Harry Potter to nonfiction on consumerism to some great beach reads.
Please comment here if interested! :)

Our roommate is moving out--a little last-minute--and we need someone to fill the third bedroom in our Burnham Street apartment (off Broadway, right by Tufts and a 5-10 minute walk from Davis). We're looking for someone who likes a laid-back, friendly, homelike atmosphere. The place is a pretty good deal: $700 rent, including heat (electricity & cable/internet are separate, but have been pretty manageable). Check out our craigslist ad for more info/photos, and please email us (burnhamstreet at gmail) if interested.

(The icon obviously has nothing to do with anything, but I felt sort of weird posting on LJ without an icon!)

[Edit:] The room has been filled! :)

Several months ago I saw a flyer for an art-trading event somewhere around Cambridge.  People were supposed to show up with something they'd created, and swap it for something someone else had made.

Does anyone have any information about this?  I think it's supposed to be a reoccurring event.

Cheers.

All-black, appears to be a young male, no tags. Walked right over this evening as I was talking to friends in the parking lot behind my building. He's friendly and playful, and may be hungry. Unfortunately I can't bring him into my building.  :(

This is on Gorham, just off Holland.
