We now have a complete schedule available on line.  There are a few TBAs and things are always subject to change, but it looks like a good line up.  (500) Days of Summer,  District 9, The Hurt Locker, Ponyo and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince are some of the highlights.

As has been confirmed by the organizers of the Film Series, the films are open to anyone in the area as long as Tufts students have first dibs.  All films will screen in Barnum 008 (back entrance to the building).  All films are free.

The October meetup is going to occur at Joe Sent Me in North Cambridge on Thursday, October 15th. We will meet starting at 7pm. There is open space near the dart boards in the back right corner of the bar. We have had a couple of meetups there before and they are very nice to us. They are going to give us some free food as well.

Our regular meeting spot is still going to be the Burren, but every few months or so, we will mix it up and go someplace different (and when we do, I'll try to have it on night other than a Tuesday so people can come that can't make the Burren).

Mark your calendars and I hope to see many of you on the 15th.

hi all, I wanted to report another mugging on Powder House blvd late friday night / early saturday morning. $10 was stolen along with a purse, wallet and cell phones from two victims. the crime is under investigation at the moment and may or may not be linked to the other recent incidents in the area.

I wanted to post this to reiterate that Teele square is NOT an unsafe neighborhood, nor should we make it become that by avoiding it out of fear. as was said in an earlier post the goal is to make it unsafe for muggers, not for those of us who live and work there. the potential theft of a cell phone or driver's license is NOT worth sacrificing security and being afraid to go out in your own neighborhood at night. safety in numbers, be mindful of what you have on you, and consider a fake wallet to throw. these kids are NOT professionals in the least.

Hi everyone,

I did CSA for the first time this summer, and have gotten hooked. Mine ends some time next month, and I'm really going to miss it! I get mine from Farmer Dave's, and I plan to continue buying from them, but they only offer a July-October share. I'd like to fill in at least some of that gap with a winter CSA from another farm. Any recommendations?

Thanks!
