New Yoga Studio Open House

There's a new yoga studio opening in Union Square.  Today they are having an open house with free classes.  It is located above Bloc 11 Cafe, and is co-owned by firefighters Blanca Alcaraz (also one of the teachers) and Charlie Houghton.  Check them out.....I think they will be very successful.

Thrill the World tonight!

Just a note to anyone planning to participate in the Thrill the World event tonight at 8:30 (to break the Guiness world record of the most people dancing to Thriller simultaneously). Because of rain, the venue has changed - it's now in Unity Church in Davis Sq, a few blocks up College Ave at 6 William St. Workshop at 3:00 (learn the choreography). Call at 6:30 for costume/make-up/rehearsal
choreography). Perform precisely at 8:30. Yessssssss.

Science Supplies?

For once both google and yelp have failed me, and so I turn to you guys for some suggestions! Does anyone know where one might find some food-safe test tubes or beakers in the area? (ie a science surplus store or a particularly well-stocked pharmacy) It's a little too late for me to be ordering online, so anywhere in the Somerville, Cambridge, or Arlington area would be great.

Indian Cookin Classes?

My friend from Chennai India is thinking about teaching cooking classes on healthy, vegetarian Southern Indian Cuisine out of her home. She lives just outside of Davis Square, near Tufts. I wanted to help her gauge interest from the community. She'd offer a four hour class for $50/person ($80/couple), food/materials included and of course you get to eat everything at the end!
