Hey y'all, I'm helping Medford set up a snow emergency email notification (it will ONLY send out snow emergency & emergency-lifted notifications); if you want to be on the list, email medfordmasnow@gmail.com

There will also be a twitter feed @medfordmasnow.

I'd love to encourage the Medford gov't to have more of an online presence, so if you live or park in Medford, please do sign up!

This is the RSVP thread for candlepin bowling at the soon-to-be-not-mysterious bowling alley in Ball Square! 7:00PM to 9:30PM, $9 per person (adults and kids) covers shoe rental and all the bowling you can fit in. Like a house party, we'll all BYOB and bring snacks to share. Afterward, I'll bet [livejournal.com profile] anomie666 would be willing to lead a drinking brigade to a local watering hole!

We need a minimum of 25 for this to happen (maximum 48, 6 to a lane). I am required to pay them one week in advance, so I'm am going to be collecting via Paypal, or I can meet up with you in person after this weekend and Arisia.

You can RSVP here for yourself and whoever you're bringing, but for your RSVP to be official you need to e-mail me at moonstonewater at yahoo dot com so I can either send you my Paypal address (which is different from that address) or arrange a time to meet you next week to get your money in person. Alternately, if you're going to Arisia you can give money to [livejournal.com profile] surrealestate, who should be easier to find than me.

Also, we need music! The alley doesn't have a PA system. Anyone got something portable they could bring?

RSVP and lets make this happen!

NOTE: I will be at Eddie Izzard tonight, so if you send me a message and you don't hear back til tomorrow, that's why.

Hi all!  I'm assisting with a book and cd swap to be held in Davis Square during the month of March and was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to where we can donate any leftover used cds.  I know Good Will will take them, but I was wondering if there are any youth music programs or healthcare groups that may find them useful for their clients.  Thanks for any ideas you might have.

I have a Macintosh G4 powerbook from 2006. It works great. Unfortunately a few minutes ago the power adaptor/charger unit started to smoke. As I have limited battery I really need to have a charger at all times. A new one looks to be about $80 in the store. Does anyone have a spare I could buy off them for less than $80? What I am looking for is the old style charger with the circular plug, not the little rectangular magnetic one like on the current macbooks.

I'm planning to go get a new one after work tomorrow if I can't get one secondhand.
