According to the Somerville Patch, the Foundry has requested 4 to 6 spots to be used for valet parking.  The article mentions that the valet spots would only be used on Friday and Saturday nights and that they would decrease the amount of general on-street parking.

After taking a month off (which we are going to do every now and again), the next meetup is going to be on Wednesday October 20th. As usual, we will be at the Burren in the back room. Wednesdays are a little less noisy and I like to alternate between Tuesdays and Wednesdays (the last one was on a Tuesday).

We start at 7pm and go for as long as people want to stay. Arrive whenever you can as there will usually be at least a few people there till 11pm or so. We try to get the tables in the back left corner of the back room (but if we aren't there, just ask the bartender and he will tell you were we are located).

Hopefully you are geared up as I am since its been a while.

The Groupon today is for the yoga studio on the corner of Mass Ave. and Harvey St. It's $25 for two weeks of unlimited yoga or five yoga classes. I haven't been there myself, but it's right across from where I live, so I've been wanting to check it out. Got the five yoga classes option. The yelp reviews are reasonable:

Today's Boston Globe g section features a cover story titled Davis Flair: From Ribs to Vegan, French to Diner Food, Somerville's Main Square Has It All. Despite the headline, the story actually doesn't mention vegan or French food anywhere.

The story mentions Dave's Fresh Pasta, Diesel Cafe, McKinnon's, Flatbread, Kickass Cupcakes, Redbones, When Pigs Fly, Johnny D's, Sagra, Sessa's, Foundry on Elm, the Burren, Martsa on Elm, Gargoyles, the Rosebud, and Pizzeria Posto.

Here's the Annoying Slide Show version.

Hi everyone,

We have a project night at sprout every week on Thursday, but I thought I'd take this opportunity to post about a particularly full evening we're hosting tomorrow!

7PM :: programs potluck

We'll cook some food, and please feel free to come and add your own! Tonight, a lot of the people facilitating our fall programs <http://thesprouts.org/programs> will also be around for you to ask questions of and chat with. We hope to see you there!

730PM :: Prisons & Nutrition Data

Mika Matsuzaki is starting to design and run a nutrition program in a local prison. As a part of this, she wants to create a piece of software to allow prisoners to do internal research (i.e. no Internet) about the nutritional values of their food. If any aspect of this project interests you, come talk and brainstorm with Mika. If you can't come but would like to hear more, let me know at <shaunalynn@thesprouts.org> and I can put you in touch.

8PM :: streetbeest construction

We're building a 12 foot tall walking machine for the HONK! Parade. Time is running out and we are going to be working tomorrow night (and almost all day tomorrow) to finish this guy up. Come by to check it out or to lend a hand!

Let me know if you have any questions!
