Jekyll, a tortured, soon-to-be-married scientist striving to test his new unction on human subjects, is prohibited from using inmates at a mental hospital for his experimentation. Instead, he tests it on himself, accidentally extracting and animating his darker side, Hyde. Jekyll's fiance Emma, her father Danvers, and Jekyll's friend Utterson all notice the change within their acquaintance, as Hyde sneaks out at night and commits heinous crimes as the city of London slumbers. As Hyde consumes Jekyll, Hekyll finds his life entangled with murders, a stripper named Lucy, and lots of angst.

Hello, this is Jackie Rossetti from the City of Somerville with snow emergency information for Thursday, January 27th. The City will lift its snow emergency regulations effective at 6:00 p.m. this evening. Residents who had parked in municipal or school lots during the snow emergency MUST move their cars by 8:00 p.m. Cars still parked in city lots at that time may be subject to ticketing and towing, and this rule WILL be strictly enforced in order to allow crews to effectively plow all lots.

For public safety reasons, please be cautious when parking on City streets, and be sure to allow access for cars and public safety vehicles. Cars impeding access, particularly for public safety vehicles, may be towed. Residents are also reminded that furniture, barrels, or other items left in parking spots will be treated as trash and disposed of, and sidewalks and walkways must be shoveled, or property owners may be subject to fines. Thank you for your assistance in keeping our community safe.

If you've waited to get your 1099-MISC forms out the door (required for payments over $600 for 2010) then you might be in luck! I have most of a 24-pk of 5-part 1099 forms from Staples along with Windows software to print them available. I paid $35 and used 2 of the forms, so while I'd really appreciate it if you'd kick me a little something for them, I'll be happy as long as they don't go to waste.

Contact me here or at 617-863-0203. Available for pick-up right outside Davis Square near the Dilboy, or I could meet you in Davis at a coffee shop.

Last night as my partner and I were once again having dinner in an almost empty SoundBites, we were saying how it might be fun to have a DS_LJ dinner & drinks meet-up there. I can't recall if we've ever had a sit-down meal meet-up, but it could possibility be a fun one-time variation and folks could talk more easily since it's quiet. And there's certainly space. I met the new (or maybe just new to me, I'm not sure) dinner host last night and he was incredibly nice.

I don't have a date in mind. We just thought it would be good to bounce the idea off the comm to see if there's interest. What do you think, meet-uppers?

Hey all.

I'm reaching out to the community to ask for help. My son is in his second year at a local art school and is really having a hard time this year with one of his classes. Now, I know I'm sounding like the "helicopter" parent, but he's tried the tutoring services at his school and they don't have anyone available to help with this particular class (seriously?). He's an animation major and the class is 3d modeling. He does have the name of one person who is willing to help, but he's also a student, not an official "tutor", and also has time constraints/schedule conflicts, etc. He's also been told there are online tutorials, but he's one of these visual learners (like me) who really needs to be shown first. Doing it on his own ain't gonna happen.

Anyone know anyone that might be willing to tutor a young struggling animation student? Or, better yet, anyone know of any classes through local adult-ed programs that might offer said class, so he can take a no-credit class first?

I know I"m grasping at straws, and I'm going to do more investigating but thought I'd throw this out there first.

Thanks in advance.

The Town
Nowhere Boy
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
The Social Network
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
