Theatre@First presents The Bakery--a warm and witty screeenplay by local writer Lisë Stern.

Free-spirited Zara's arrival shakes up the Morgan family business. Still reeling from his wife's departure for the car dealer down the street, Joe Morgan has been pouring his heart into the batter and leaving his daughters to find their own recipes for life and love. Can the mysterious cake decorator bring new life to the bakery, or is she just adding nuts to the mix?

See the original screenplay as a staged reading in a new Theatre@First venue!

Hi everyone!

Thank you all for being so supportive when I launched the Kickstarter campaign to bring As You Like It to Davis Square for free!

Now we're getting down to the wire, with less than $250 to reach our goal by April 16!

In reality, we'll need quite a bit more than $5,500 to make this happen, but if we don't raise our stated goal amount with Kickstarter, we won't get any of the funding at all.

So if you haven't given yet and you can, please do! If you haven't told your friends yet and you can, do that too! Help us get over the top - and if you see us get there, don't be afraid to pitch in a bit more!

And thanks so much.

Interesting article on some potentially shady developers looking to build in that empty spot on Summer near Dilboy.

Signs posted at Mr. Crepe say that the Jeff Santos Show, on AM radio 1510, will be broadcast live from there tomorrow morning from 7 to 10 am.

Guests will include Mayor Curtatone, State Rep. Denise Provost, State Senator Pat Jehlen, Courtney Hollands of Boston.com, and others.

I'm not familiar with the radio station, but they call themselves Revolution Boston: Progressive Voice in New England.
