Porch Pick-Up Laundry

I checked the laundry tag and didn't see this specific question.

Several years ago I recall someone saying she used a laundry service that picked up the laundry bag(s) from her porch and dropped them back off on the porch later that day or the next day. This is not the same as dropoff/pickup, as in "haul bag to laundry where someone else washes it for me to pick up clean." (If I have to lug the bag then I might as well just put it in the machine myownself.) What I remember hearing about was actual door service.

Would anyone know if this is a service that still exists? I will be so happy if the answer is yes...

small change

i am cleaning small change out of various nooks and crannies, and it seems i have a lot of it.

what's a good way to get it turned into useful money around here? just take it to a bank? is there still a machine for change at the shaw's in porter square? any charities accepting bucket-o-change?
