Another Day, Another Vote in Somerville

Yes, it's that dang WFNX "My Song Is Better than Your Song" contest, and we need to vote again this morning, March 8th.  It was fun the first six times, and perhaps less so now, but it's still our civic duty.

Here's the skinny from the City's New Media Czarina, Denise Taylor:
This is it! If we win today against Newburyport, we tie Melrose for the all-time record of Battle of the Mayor wins. Then in two weeks it’s an epic rematch with Mayor Dolan of Melrose and we go out in a blaze of glory—all thanks to you.

 So… pass this onto your friends too:

 Please tune in to WFNX 101.7 FM at 9 a.m., then wait to hear both songs be played and for voting to be opened (voting earlier doesn’t count), and then VOTE for our song by 9:30 a.m. (I’ll send the name of the song a soon as it’s announced).

NSTAR heating maintenance plan

Anyone use the NSTAR maintenance plan to maintain your boiler in lieu of a plumbing service?  Any comments?   I'm intrigued by the idea of being able to get a plumber of evenings/weekends, which has historically been difficult.  And I'm curious on how much they will cover before they start charging you for an amount above the annual fee.

It's probably getting to be time to replace our dear old Subaru wagon, but I've never gone used car shopping in MA. Are there any used car places around here that people can recommend as more or less honest and low pressure? I am looking for any kinds of station wagon type vehicle, or maybe a CRV.
