The Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission relicensing hearing about the Dilboy Post VFW happened this afternoon, after a one-day delay. The ABCC heard two items:

- a change in the directors and officers of the Post
- a reduction in capacity to 71 seats in the basement (private veterans' club), and either 115 chairs with tables or 221 chairs only on the first floor (publicly rentable main hall)

The commission did not make any decision at the hearing, and informed the Dilboy representatives that their decision would be sent by mail. The Post has been closed since January 3rd.

Alfresco restaurant, at the corner of Highland and Cutter avenues, has all of its doors and windows papered over. A sign on the front door says "Closed for Minor Improvements. Sorry for any Inconvenience..." Anyone know more?

(Yes, there was a post here yesterday by [livejournal.com profile] pch1 on the same subject. It's gone now, and none of us moderators removed it. We have no idea why it disappeared.)

I have a package to outdoor bootcamp run by The Training Room this month but sadly hurt my leg and won't be able to go.  I can transfer it to someone else so if you want to purchase it from me let me know.  The class is sold out except for drop-ins which are more expensive so if you want to go every time here's you chance.  In case you've never been, the Training Room is awesome!  Check it out even if you don't make it to bootcamp!

Details:  Outdoor bootcamp (rain or shine) MWF 6-7 am at Conway Park on Somerville Ave. There are 10 classes left in the package with the last day June 1.   I paid 145 for 13, so I'm asking 110 for the remaining 10.

hi,

i am looking for an **amazing seamstress** to work on a few projects for me: 1) some relatively simple shirts; and, 2) a skirt with big pockets. i am looking for someone who is able to create patterns and sew well-made clothing.  i am NOT looking for someone who simply does alterations.  i live in davis square but am able to travel to surrounding areas (e.g. boston, etc).

thanks in advance!
