Amethyst Center, in the heart of Davis Square, will be holding an open house next Saturday, May 8, 1:00-5:00, to benefit the Somerville Homeless Coalition.

Amethyst Center is again hosting a fundraiser for the Somerville Homeless Coalition, Saturday May 8, 1:00-5:00. "Nourish Your Well Being" will offer short treatments from its practitioners in exchange for a suggested $10 donation. This is the 13th benefit in 6 years that Amethyst has hosted for the Somerville Homeless Coalition. Amethyst's practitioners include specialists in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, massage, naturopathic medicine, chiropractic, craniosacral therapy, and energy therapies. "It's a win-win situation for everyone," says Linda Squires, a chiropractor at Amethyst. "We get to help a great organization, and people can meet us and find out what we have to offer."

This event often sells out, so participants are encouraged to call in advance to reserve sessions: 617-591-9200. Amethyst Center is located at 259 Elm Street, 3rd Floor, in Somerville's Davis Square.

I don't know how "win win" it is with chiropractors racking and cracking patients they know nothing about and don't have x-rays for.
